This is a top class, progressive 1,000-acre farm with a herd of 430 pedigree Holsteins plus followers. Milking is carried out twice daily in 2 separate milking parlours, a 20/20 rapid exit and a 24/24 herringbone. The herd is housed indoors and TMR fed.

We are seeking a keen and enthusiastic Assistant Herdsperson to join a team of three. Must be a competent milker. AI and foot trimming experience desirable, however, training can be provided.
The successful candidate will have a strong focus on herd care and will also carry out all necessary yard work/ scraping out duties. Duties will include care of calving cows and freshly calved cows. An ability to spot bulling cows, lame and sick animals is required.

Accommodation provided in one bedroom flat or mobile home on the Farm.
This is a contract position, where the successful person will operate as an agency worker with Farm Solutions. This means that the person will not have sub-contractor responsibilities and all statutory tax deductions and payments will be made by Farm Solutions on their behalf. Hourly pay operates, which includes pay for overtime hours worked.
