We are looking for an experienced stockperson with a good all-round knowledge of youngstock and calf rearing to join our team on our dedicated youngstock unit in West Dorset.
The job will involve feeding, dehorning, foot bathing, vaccinating, identifying & treating sick animals as well as keeping the necessary medicine and movement records, etc.
The successful candidate will hold a driving licence and be a confident tractor driver.
The job will involve some lone working so you will need to be self-motivated and organised as well as being able to work as part of the wider farm team. Whilst training will be given to the right person, the candidate will be computer literate and be prepared to gain ATV and cattle trailer certificates.
The role operates on a rota system, working 6 days on, 4 days off, with an average of 50 hours per week.
