Part time 0.6 Permanent, 22.2 hours per week.

Salary £25,642 - £28,898 per annum, pro rata based on a salary assessment and relevant experience 

At Coleg Cambria we are now looking for an Assessor in Agriculture to join the team at our Deeside site.

As an Assessor in Agriculture, you will be required to assess Level 2 and level 3 Work Based Agriculture to include Livestock, Mixed farming, Crop Production and Poultry Production. Conducting Training Needs Analysis for candidates in the workplace, you will enrol students on appropriate courses and provide coaching, mentoring and learning opportunities.

Assessing candidate portfolios and presenting completed portfolios for internal verification, you will monitor the candidate’s progress towards their qualification and give them constructive feedback, helping them to build a portfolio of evidence.

In order to be considered for this role, you must have experience and competence within the Agricultural sector. We welcome applications from those with a background in horticulture as well as agriculture.

You must also have or be willing to work towards an Assessor qualification and hold a professionally relevant qualification at Level 3 as a minimum. With an outgoing and positive personality and strong team working skills, you will be able to demonstrate a commitment to the maintenance and development of quality standards and have acceptable levels of Maths and Literacy, particularly verbal and numerical reasoning.

You need to be self-motivated, have good organisational skills and time management, including the ability to carry out administrative tasks to support the role. The expectation of the role is to manage your time around the learners and work in a flexible manner supporting different shift patterns.  

Candidates must hold a valid driving licence and have access to own transport.

Those who have experience of liaising with managers in industry and commerce and who are confident working directly with external verifiers and awarding bodies will be of distinct advantage.

The ability to speak Welsh is highly desirable
