Southern Water are seeking to appoint a Catchment Management Coordinator to join the Catchment Risk Management team, with responsibility to help deliver the Company's catchment management programme. This programme of work is focused on catchment risk evaluation, incident response and delivery of long term mitigation measures.

The role holder will lead the team of four Catchment Officers, working with catchment stakeholders, to deliver catchment schemes on the ground to reduce the risks to drinking water quality.
As part of the role, you would be required to work across the business and externally across different sectors to address catchment risk. A large element of the role focuses on addressing catchment water quality risks from the agricultural sector, alongside risks from other sectors such as urban and amenity.
Suitable candidates will have a catchment management / agricultural background or a good understanding of key agricultural drivers and constraints to define integrated catchment management plans and experience and a keen interest in sustainable farming practices for soil and water to develop mitigation schemes for wider roll out. This role includes the direct line management of the Catchment Risk Management delivery team.
