Assistant Herd Manager

The Opportunity: A fabulous opportunity to join a very friendly family team working on a well-run and modern dairy farm and with a clear progression pathway.  You will report directly to the hands-on owner and will be responsible for daily tasks such as, milking, calf rearing, feeding, parlour maintenance and general record keeping.

This farm has a very well planned layout that creates a tidy and efficient working environment for the team.  The business is an early adopter of technological developments helping to enhance the efficiency and profitability of this enterprise.

Skills/Experience Required:

Essential

• Dairy farming experience
• Have an eye for detail
• Enjoy working in a tidy environment
• A very good communicator
• Ability to work as part of a team
• Have an interest in applying technology to farming

Desired

• Foot trimming experience
• A.I trained

Remuneration: An excellent salary, 28 days holiday, company pension scheme, regular weekends off and training if required
