Herdsperson

We require an experienced herdsperson to join the team on a modern and progressive unit in Newton Stewart, Dumfriesshire. 

The farm enjoys ongoing investment in faculties and equipment making a great environment for both cow and staff.  The herd is cubicle housed and calves all year round and achieves enviable results in terms of yield and milk quality.

The role would entail milkings, herd health and welfare tasks, stock husbandry and daily paperwork.  Fertility and regular foot trimming is out sourced, but experience in both will be an advantage. 

The successful candidate will have experience in a similar role, be proactive with spotting and dealing with issues and be a team player.
