Shepherd

We are looking for an experienced shepherd to join our farm. The role will involve looking after 700 breeding ewes and followers. The main flock is a mixture of suffolk x texel ewes and scottish blackface x leicester mules, with a seperate flock of 200 scottish blackface and a few pedigree Suffolks and Texels. The enthusiastic individual who takes on this role will be in charge of day to day care of the flock and keeping track of health records, administering medicines and routine vaccinations.

The applicant must have a proven track record, be self-motivated and have their own working dogs.

The farm is a 1000 acre holding with a suckler herd and arable land alongside the flock. There may be a few days work with cattle throughout the year depending on the applicant.
