The Opportunity:

Reporting to the Sales & Marketing Director, the successful candidate will be responsible for:

•    Maintaining and improving margins, whilst maximizing sales and managing supply chains for the targeted products to exceed budgets
•    Keeping abreast of a constantly changing market place, anticipating trends, competitive threats, and commercial opportunities, with an eye on potential new products
•    Managing National Key Accounts
•    Driving and managing annual milk and youngstock feed sales campaigns to maximise sales
•    Working with the product team to ensure Sales staff have accurate and updated pricing information
•    Maintaining relationships with integrated beef businesses and promoting working relationships with key Veterinary Practices
•    Developing marketing and product management campaigns to promote the Wynnstay brand 
•    Organising, managing, and chairing meetings with the Calf & Youngstock team and major suppliers
•    Providing input into the annual budgeting process
•    Mentoring relevant staff ensuring compliance and effectiveness in their role
 

The Person:

The successful candidate will:
•    Have a broad understanding of the Agricultural industry and ruminant livestock, along with an affinity for the farmer customer
•    Be passionate about youngstock nutrition and health
•    Demonstrate a proven track record in similar role or at Management level, preferably in an agricultural sales capacity
•    Possess sound commercial acumen, with experience of cost control and planning, prioritising and organising work to achieve targets
•    Be a motivational team-leader focused on managing, supporting and developing their team to achieve full potential
•    Have good knowledge of Sales and Marketing techniques, research and analysis
•    Be self-disciplined, with excellent time management skills, and the inherent flexiblity required to achieve results
•    Possess good inter-personal skills and ability to deal with people from diverse backgrounds
•    Be self-confident, decisive, resilient with the ability to thrive under pressure in a fast moving challenging environment
•    Be hungry for sales and driven to succeed
