The Opportunity:
Reporting to the Sales and Marketing Director, the successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Leading the development, review and delivery of annual agreed sales targets 
  • Profitably growing and developing all regional merchandising and sales activity 
  • Leading and managing regional budget, projecting sales and determining profitability
  • Sales reporting to support effective management and expansion 
  • Driving collaboration through all routes to market 
  • Monitoring customer and sales trends regionally to enhance future sales strategies
  • Complaints management
  • Achieving credit control targets
  • Developing marketing and product management campaigns to promote the Wynnstay brand 
  • Personnel compliance under your remit
  • Keeping abreast with a constantly changing industry, anticipating market trends, competitive threats, and commercial opportunities
  • Mentoring relevant staff ensuring they are effective in their role
  • Leading project work, including new store launches and joint venture integration

The Person:
The successful candidate will:

  • Have a broad understanding of the Agricultural industry, along with an affinity for the farmer customer
  • Demonstrate a proven track record in similar role or at the level of Sales Manager or multi store merchandising management in an agricultural sales capacity
  • Possess sound commercial acumen, experience of cost control and planning, prioritising and organising work to meet targets
  • Be a lateral, innovative thinker, and problem-solver able to contribute & define future sales strategy
  • Be a motivational team-leader focused on managing, supporting and developing their team to achieve their full potential
  • Have good knowledge of Sales/Marketing techniques, research and analysis
  • Be self-disciplined, with excellent time management skills, and flexible in order to achieve results
  • Possess good inter-personal skills and ability to deal with people from diverse backgrounds
  • Be self-confident, decisive and resilient with the ability to thrive under pressure in a fast moving challenging environment
  • Be hungry for sales and driven to succeed
