An exciting position has arisen on a well-run family farm near to the market town of Devizes. 300 cows are milked through a 24:24 HB Westfalia parlour and the herd average is 9,000 litres.
We are looking for a keen and enthusiastic candidate to work in the team with a very hands-on farmer. Duties will include milking, foot trimming, DIY AI (an advantage, but not essential) and general cow health etc. The current herdsperson is leaving after 10 years, and the cows are a testament to his attention to detail and stockmanship skills.
Accommodation is a lovely 5-bedroom house with an en-suite bathroom and family bathroom, on the farm. This will be free from rent, council tax and water rates.
