Calf Rearing Specialist/Relief Milker

We have a highly unusual vacancy for a specialist calf rearer on a high input herd in mid-Devon. The herd has been milked three times a day through an 11:22 DeLaval Herringbone parlour.
In July, two Lely robotic milkers will be commissioned to milk the freshest cows with the remaining staler cows, around 80, continuing to be milked through the existing parlour.
The key part of the role will be to rear all the calves to the highest standards, for which the facilities are excellent, with mechanized feeding.
You will also be expected to milk two to three times a week and cover the management of the robots occasionally. Some additional farm work will also be available from time to time.
There is a very good mobile home available with this job, a highly competitive salary and regular time off.
