The Role

Having nurtured and promoted talent within the business for many years, we now have the fantastic opportunity to enhance our in-house experience and bring a talent coordinator onboard to continue ensuring our talent pipeline is developed, as well as finding the right talent for any roles we cannot internally. You can be home based but we would like you to collaborate with the other team members when it’s needed and visit the sites when recruitment is underway to support hiring managers.

In this role, you will inspire candidates to see their career opportunities within NMR at this exciting time, as we progress our digital transformation journey and delivery of our strategic plan in growing our market share in our core business area of milk recording. You’ll be responsible for delivering an expert resourcing service to the business throughout the recruitment lifecycle, which you will design and own in collaboration with the HR Director and HR Team. You will partner with hiring managers across the business to ensure an excellent candidate experience and a seamless and legal recruitment process, in the most cost effective and timely manner possible. You will support the hiring managers in the interview process design and implementation.

The role will also support our self employed recruitment of milk recorders and samplers, working with the hiring Area Field Manager to ensure an ongoing pipeline of talent is available through local advertising and understanding of each area.

Key responsibilities:

Role Responsibilities

  • Work with the wider HR team to understand the business strategy and design the talent strategy in alignment with this. You will help develop functional resourcing plans that incorporate existing and future requirements, to support business growth and talent management
  • Manage end-to-end recruitment across a business area, owning the sourcing, selection and offer process and work with stakeholders to ensure excellent candidate experience
  • Manage and own the careers platform and in house recruitment platform on Cascade ensuring it is fit for purpose and has its functionality continuously developed to improve how it works
  • Manage and maintain all recruitment docuemntation and policies
  • Build and maintain positive working relationships with stakeholders, providing recruitment best practice, market insight and trends to support the attraction and resourcing approach for specific business areas
  • Proactively source and talent pool candidates using direct sourcing channels from both active and passive routes, such as social networks, careers sites, advertising, employee and external referrals, networking, job boards and the use of our online recruitment system
  • Support hiring managers to increase confidence and skills to select the right candidate, whilst giving an experience that reflects our culture and values
  • Continuous upskilling of hiring line managers in recruitment best practice
