We have new contract vacancy for an experienced and capable herdsperson to take day to day control with assistance of a 9,000 litre 400 Holstein/Friesian summer/Autumn calving cows on one of 2 units near Lampeter.
Cows are fully housed in Winter with summer grazing, so besides milking’s in a 20/40 westfalia, with auto ID, and ADF, responsibilities will be Cow health monitoring, to include fertility recording using pedometers, while Genus will do the AI, some foot trimming but an outside contractor does the routines. Looking after the cubicles and bedding with telehandler.
A very competitive salary and recently refurbished farmhouse 4 miles off farm, to include new bathroom and kitchen with all appliances, for the successful candidate.
