Job Details
We have a new contract vacancy for an Assistant Herdsperson on an estate near Basingstoke in Hampshire. The farm covers 2500 acres alongside a number of additional enterprises. The dairy herd is made up of 300 organic buffalos milked through an 11 aside tandem parlour.
Working alongside the new dairy manager and other team members you will be regularly milking the buffalos as well as TMR feeding on a relief basis and other herd health tasks. Attention to detail is vitally important to help meet the high standards expected.
With the estate wanting to drive the dairy unit forwards in both performance and infrastructure this is an ideal opportunity for an enthusiastic person to help make a difference.
