Job Details
The Role:
As a Van Driver for NMR your main responsibility will be the collection and delivery of sample materials and consumable stock for the sampling process. You will be required to be compliant with quality standards and follow traffic laws. It will be your responsibility to ensure that the van is fit for purpose through daily maintenance checks and reporting of any non-conformance. Health and Safety is paramount, and you will be expected to follow the company policy. You are always customer facing and expected to present the company values. There are two roles, one full time driver (100922) and one zero hours driver (110922).
Essential Key Skills:
- Previous experience of working in a similar role
- Valid UK driving licence
- Good Geographical knowledge of the UK
- Basic understanding of vehicle maintenance
- Good Time Management
- Ability to follow to read and follow a planned route
- Flexible approach to job role
- Computer Literate
Key Responsibilities:
- Collection and delivery of sample materials and consumable stock for the sampling process
- Follow traffic laws
- Ensure Samples are maintained to required quality standards and ensure accurate reporting if any deviations are identified
- Perform and record vehicle maintenance checks
- Maintenance of accurate route records
- Working evening and late-night shifts
- Read and follow a route plan and make adjustments where required for traffic and weather conditions
- Responsible for following and carrying out Health and Safety Requirements
- To operate the vehicle in a cost-effective manor
- To present the company values to all customers and stakeholders
