A hands on, attentive individual is sought after to join the stud operation for this highly reputable genetics business as part of the stockman team. If you come from a practical livestock background whereby you are accustomed to handling cattle in either a commercial or showing aspect, this could be something for you to consider.

Being involved with the bloodlines of the future, you will be maintaining the health and wellbeing of the bulls housed in the stud, from daily care and maintenance to semen collections. With state of the art facilities in addition to working extremely closely with bulls with some of the best genetics in the country, this role really is a high contender.

This is your opportunity for your hard earned work to be recognised publicly, with bulls being advertised broadcasting their genetic potential it is your responsibility to be the flagship for the business.

About you:

  • Practical experience with either beef or dairy cattle.
  • Extreme advantage if experienced in turning cattle out to a high standard for showing and ability to handle bulls in a show ring scenario; training will be provided otherwise.
  • Trainable, adaptable attitude; full training will be provided with regards to semen collecting.
  • Ability to take pride in the work carried out, with a high attention to detail.
  • Excellent stockmanship skills.
  • Passion for the bovine sector and keen interest in genetics.
  • Due to biosecurity purposes, it is preferable for the successful candidate to be livestock free.
  • Advantageous if experienced in agricultural machinery.
  • Full UK driving license.
