Our client, a reputable agricultural machinery dealership experiencing sustained growth, is seeking a proven Area Sales Manager able to bring an existing local client base. You will plan and carry out all sales activities within the assigned area developing and extending customer relationships and networks. You will be driven to deliver excellent customer satisfaction through high quality service.

You will maximise sales profitability and growth by effectively selling the company's product portfolio and related services.

What your 'day-to-day' would look like:

  • Prepare sales action plans and schedules.
  • Make sales calls to new and existing customers.
  • Develop and make presentations to current and potential customers.
  • Develop a technical understanding of the products.
  • Ensure customer service satisfaction and good relationships.
  • Quality checks on product and service delivery.
  • Monitor and report on sales activities and follow up for management.
  • Conduct market research where appropriate
  • Manage and attend presentations and shows/events.
  • Monitor competitors, market conditions and product development.
  • Input all relevant information into CRM system.

What you will possess:

  • Proven success (at least 3 years) within an ag machinery sales role is essential
  • Relevant product and market knowledge
  • An existing sales ledger within the region
  • Background with leading tractor brands, or at least modern agricultural machinery
  • Sound business acumen
  • Ability to undertake research and communicate findings
  • Able to convey technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Clean, valid driving licence
