There is also The Cattle Information Service (The CIS), which is a leading provider of milk recording and health testing to farmers throughout GB.  Finally, the National Bovine Data Centre (NBDC) collects, analyses and disseminates data for a wide variety of pedigree dairy and beef breeds, including Type Classification and Genomic information.

We are seeking an innovative Group Commercial Director who can lead the development and improvement of our portfolio of products and services. Working with the Charity’s Trustees and as part of the Executive Management Team, you will help the Holstein UK Group support its members and customers by providing easy access to the information they need.  

If you have extensive dairy industry and production knowledge with proven key account and project management experience this could be the role for you.

Main Purpose of Role:
Development of a portfolio of products and services across the Holstein UK Group, creating commercial offerings for both the membership and external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Appraisal of current product and service offerings, identifying gaps and market suitability and research of new business opportunities.
  • Delivery of the Trustees’ strategy for products and services across the group, developing and improving the offering.
  • Delivery of the Trustees’ breed development strategy.
  • Identify new routes to market; direct to farmers/producers, the supply chain and the wider industry.
  • Continual appraisal and delivery of commercial offerings.
  • Involvement in strategic I.T projects; their project management and roll out.
  • Liaising with customers and suppliers and creating a network to benefit the sustainability of the business.
  • Monitoring the business financial performance and KPIs, with the support of the finance team
  • To complete any other duties as required from time to time.

Renumeration and Location

Primary Location: Telford – Some flexibility may be available
