Agricultural Engineer - Western Australia

Our client, a family-run business holding a series of premium machinery franchises, is looking to the UK or EU for an experienced agricultural engineer to deliver service, repairs, installations and product demonstrations. You will benefit from a varied role split between being field based (within a 1 hour radius approx.) and in the workshop.

While a Precision Ag background will be advantageous, you will have a sound set of skills across mechanics, electronics and diagnostics.

Based in a modern, regional hub of Western Australia, you'll be surrounded by creature comforts (entertainment, excellent schools/hospitals) as well as some of Australia's best beaches. What your role will involve:

  • Delivering electronics and diagnostics support on market-leading sprayers
  • Diagnose mechanical, electrical and hydraulics issues
  • Assist with autosteer installs and product demonstrations
  • Operate both in the field and at depot
  • Undertake OEM and product training courses
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers both on site and in the field

What you will have:

  • A minimum of Level 3 qualification (or equivalent) in a related field
  • Proven experience of diagnosing mechanical, electrical and hydraulics issues with ag-machinery
  • Experience with self-propelled sprayers and GPS technology is advantageous
  • Competency with MS Office
  • Great customer service skills
  • Full UK driving licence
