Morris' farm, set in rural Monmouthshire, is looking for an experienced stock person to work closely with the family business which involves the breeding of Aberdeen Angus beef and Poll Dorset sheep to supply their busy farm shop and cafe.
The job will encompass all aspects of animal husbandry including calving, lambing and fattening through to the finished product along with selecting home herd breeding stock, as we are keen to increase the size and quality of our herd and flock. You will look after our 100+ suckler Aberdeen Angus herd along with our flock of Poll Dorset ewes and lambs. You must share our passion for the welfare of the animals and producing and maintaining the quality of our meat.
We as a family are most keen on animal welfare and we are always looking to increase our biodiversity on farm.
As demanding as farming is through lambing and calving times, we have a well organised system with onsite help available during these busy times.
This is a full-time position within an existing small team.
There is possibility of on farm accommodation to be discussed at interview.
