Herd Health Specialist

For reasons beyond our control, we are re-advertising this unusual and interesting position. We have an exciting new contract vacancy for an exceptional herd health specialist to oversee the day-to-day health of a very well managed expanding 900 cow herd in East Devon. The herd is housed year-round in mainly recently built facilities and are milked 3X through a De Laval 50:50 rapid exit parlour by an established milking team. The role will involve all aspects of herd health to include AI, fertility work, liaising with vets, foot trimming, Sick cow management, calving and calf management. There is also a scanner on farm that the successful candidate will be trained to use (if not already trained) to minimise veterinary intervention.
