Superb and well-maintained facilities include a 40/40 DeLaval parlour with ACR’s, in parlour feeding auto ID & shedding which is capable of milking over 100 cows per hour. With a focus on maximising milk from home-grown forage, the herd is cared for to very high standards and achieves over 4500 litres from forage.

Recent investment has seen a new heifer yard built on the unit and additional cubicle housing will go ahead in 2023 to further improve cow welfare and working conditions.

Key responsibilities will include milking once a day (always 2 in parlour), general husbandry, foot trimming, AI and helping with the day to day running of the unit. Grass measurement and allocation will also be an integral part of this role. AI and foot trimming training can / will be provided.
