REPORTING TO: Service Manager
LOCATION: KRONE Workshop, South Farm, Seaton Ross, York, YO42 4NF

JOB TYPE: Full Time, 8am-5pm Monday - Friday plus additional hours where necessary. Occasional travel to Germany.

JOB SUMMARY
Based at our workshops near York, we are looking for a dynamic, hardworking Technical Service Support engineer to join our dedicated workshop team. You will support the KRONE aftersales and sales team on service issues working closely with our field staff.

This will be a hands-on role and you will be responsible for the maintenance of our demonstration fleet, this role requires a skilled individual capable of working well alone and within a team. You will be confident with computer systems and willing to learn the KRONE parts and service systems. You should be able to work well with people and within a busy team environment and have a high standard of work.

Out of season, your day to day duties will consist of machine servicing and maintenance, upkeep of machine records and reporting any faults back to the appropriate people. In season, you will be willing to travel throughout the UK to support both our demonstration programmes and customer machines as appropriate. You need to be able to work flexible and extended hours as required, it is critical that you are a self-starter and can manage your own workload.

Experience of this type of role would be an advantage as it is important that you can service and maintain machines to a very high standard. Further service training on KRONE products can be provided for the right candidate. In return, KRONE will offer a competitive remuneration package, healthcare and company pension scheme.

The candidate should have:

  • Sound technical knowledge of agricultural machinery.
  • Experience with electronic systems would also be desirable.
  • Ability to work anywhere in the UK, assisting with on territory machine demonstrations.
  • An excellent communicator, who works with a structured approach and can confidently handle multiple jobs.
  • An understanding and appreciation of agricultural practices.
