HERD MANAGER
BUDDINGTON FARM - WEST SUSSEX
- We have an excellent contract vacancy on a well-equipped unit, which runs with about 135 Friesian/Holstein cows milked through two Lely A4 robots. With yields of over 10,000 litres per cow, this herd has been managed to a very high standard and we seek a herd manager to continue with this very important part of a mixed family farming operation.
- The cows are fed a TMR with grazing during the summer months. Throughout, the facilities have been upgraded, including robotic scraping in cubicles, activity meters, auto ID and shedding.
- We require a herd manager seeking the opportunity to take responsibility for a herd based on a sound knowledge of herd health, forage use, fertility and hygienic milk production.
- If you would like to run your own unit and, we would offer you a first class 3-bedroom house with C/H on the unit, as well as an excellent remuneration package and regular time off.
