The Westmorland County Agricultural Society is recruiting a new, dynamic and enthusiastic leader for the organisation.The Society is a registered Charity and a thriving, forward thinking agricultural organisation supported by its members, volunteers and the local community.

The Society has achieved significant growth and development and is well prepared to continue, if not accelerate, its support for the agricultural and rural sector.

Best known for its annual agricultural show held in September which moved from 1 to 2 days in 2021, the Society is equally active in training, education of young and old through its Rural Links Programme, agricultural competitions (silage, stock judging, hedge laying etc), associated countryside events and a 2 day Country Fest held every June. Our showfield is also regularly hired out to other organisations for various events throughout the year

As this is a role with several annual events  the successful candidate will possess skills that ensure they can not only manage the Society but also a large team of volunteers alongside a small office team
