Ruminant Nutritionist - Australia

As a Ruminant Nutritionist, you will work for one of the leading animal nutrition and feed manufacturing businesses in Australia.

With a wealth of innovation projects in the pipeline, you'll be immersed in the delivery of these projects as well as in the commercial and technical functions of the company.

On a personal level, the role is based in Melbourne offering the opportunity to live in one of Australia's most iconic locations.

Day-to-day:

• Play a central role in innovation projects with a primary focus on dairy, but also including beef, sheep and grazing cattle.
• Contribute towards projects and with external R&D partners.
• Deliver initiatives involving cross-functional teams.
• Provide technical support to commercial teams.
• Design nutritional programs and formulate ruminant diets (TMR, pasture based and feedlots).
• Commercial astuteness.
• Assist Procurement Team.
• A mostly office-based role with some travel to manufacturing sites and customers across Victoria, Queensland, NSW and South Australia.

What you will possess:

• An MSc in Animal Nutrition or similar
• Experience of practical nutrition and feed formulation (+ competence with feed formulation software)
• Experience delivering R&D or trials
• Commercial experience (supporting sales)
