Due to a retirement within the farm team, we have a new contract vacancy within an excellent dairy farming business near Petworth, West Sussex.

The vacancy offers a varied role with responsibilities available on a well-staffed unit. With additional cow facilities in place this year, cow numbers are set to rise to a 220- cow pedigree herd.  The cows are high yielding, TMR fed, winter housed on sand cubicles and calving all year. 

This is a family farm; they seek a team player who will take an active role in the milking cow routine, in dry and calving cow care, calf /youngstock rearing, and a share of the relief milking as well as general livestock and farm work with an element of basic record keeping included.

Within the team there is some flexibility in terms of experience levels and the number of contracted days that need to be covered.

We can offer a tidy 3-bedroom semi-detached cottage on the unit.
