The SMB Group is a highly successful FE college, formed through the merger of Stephenson College and Brooksby Melton College. We are an innovative and highly responsive centre for education and training with campuses in Coalville, Melton Mowbray and Brooksby.

The SMB Group, is benefiting from the DFE funding to be able to transform the college facilities and provide brand new resources for the Landbased department.

In particular, the college has a real emphasis on creating a brand-new farm along with Agriculture Tech Centre.

Due to the growth of our landbased department we are looking for an Agriculture specialist to join the SMB Group and be part of our journey to become a Lecturer at a leading Land based provider.

With an 850 acre countryside estate, including a mixed-use livestock and arable farm, our students get all the hands-on experience they need to build a success career in the industry.

Working as part of the apprenticeship team you will be responsible for the delivery and development of off the job days, these consist of well-planned and delivered teaching sessions and supporting the apprentices with their e-portfolios. You will possess an excellent knowledge and understanding of Agriculture and be able to plan and use a range of effective and appropriate teaching and learning techniques. In addition, you will visit your apprentices on placements and carryout observations and reviews.

We offer a wide range of benefits including:
