EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO KNOW  

This role is working across our environmental ambitions to protect and enhance 10000 hectares of nature across our region, planting 1.3m trees and delivering the Commonwealth Forests, and making sure our 72 Tiny Forests thrive, through to working with over 5000 land managers and land owners; caring for the environment is not a bolt on, it is core to how we do business.    

You’ll be supporting on delivering creative engagement plans, innovative land management schemes and propositions, behavioural change programmes and brand-new marketing initiatives. Working closely with the teams for each area, you’ll be helping to drive positive change on how land is managed and cared for in our patch, supporting others to make change whilst helping to protect water quality and river health

Your key accountabilities in helping us will be:

  • You’ll be a crucial part of our team where you’ll be leading on engaging land managers about the many programmes that they can be part of, and you will be keen to build on our success to date
  • You’ll lead, develop and implement a rolling engagement programme and campaigns across a range of online and offline channels ensuring that robust measuring and reporting is in place.
  • You’ll be a whizz at working across teams of catchment scientists,  ecologists and environmental scientists to understand how the science of our programmes translates into meaningful content for engagement … and how that benefits landowners and nature as well as helping our water.
  • You’ll be keeping a watchful eye on the external environment to understand the impacts to what we need to achieve, you’ll use data trends, deliver insight and influence our decision making
  • You’ll be forensic in your analysis to Identify and manage the key  risks and issues facing the delivery of our ambitions and our strategy, and you won’t be afraid to challenge…

  WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO THE ROLE 

The right skills and experience are important. But if you have the right character, positivity and a caring attitude we want to talk to you, too.  

We’ll be looking for you to have previous experience in a Communications or Marketing role, where you’ve had responsibility for leading, and developing engagement plans and campaigns. It would be great if you have experience and knowledge of farming or land management, or conservation - but it’s not a deal breaker.  You’ll demonstrate that you can deliver to tough targets and smash performance challenges. You’ll have a way of thinking that can really impact and influence our external audiences and will be able to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Additionally, you’ll be a strong communicator with the ability to build collaborative relationships and influence stakeholders and you’ll possess excellent verbal, visual and written communication skills.
