UK Technical Manager - Field Based

First class products require a first class team behind them who have ideas, understanding, an eye for development and understand the path to delivery. This role is a senior position with one of the UK's most prominent businesses in the feed sector.

Reporting to the MD , you will have the chance to really make your mark on this business and influence how products are developed, represented and sold. You will cover the UK and will be expected to travel internationally as and when required.

You will need to have a solid understanding of ruminant diets and their effect on production and therefore profitability. Whilst the right person will have a technical ability, commercial awareness as well as the ability to influence sales will be a key feature of your skill set.

When you're not assisting on technical matters surrounding products, you will be out supporting your customers in store and/or on farm, offering your expertise on the company's offerings and the benefits to customers and farmers. There will be an element of equine nutrition in this role, so an ability to sell to and support distributors in this sector will be an important aspect.

Key Requirements Include (but are not limited to):

• Technically and Commercially astute in the nutrition sector
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and commercial formulation / rationing software.
• Team management experience
• Ability to influence and negotiate
• Flexibility to travel and with overseas stays
