Commercial Manager- South West England

This is a role for someone with vision, you will be at the forefront of this longstanding business’ future development- to be successful you need to bring an excellent commercial acumen and a head full of ideas to the table.

As one of the largest and most successful independent farm animal veterinary practices in the United Kingdom, our South-West based client seeks further growth through investing in the appointment a Commercial Manager. You would be required to develop and launch new and diverse initiatives based on your expertise and knowledge.

You will be:

• Taking the lead in all commercial business activities. Identifying, negotiating and securing contracts to include new business acquisitions/mergers.

• Developing commercial opportunities through exceptional business development skills.

• Marketing responsibilities to include the company's website and marketing strategy.

• Operate as a key part of the overall management of the business as part of the senior management team.

• Lead from the front providing the footprint for a positive customer service work ethic.

• Work closely with the financial controller managing financial risk associated with growth.

You will need:

• Vision- the ideas and drive to grow a business with the commercial understanding to manage financial risks and budgeting.

• Understand the livestock sector- this may be from the veterinary sector or extensive business development experience enabling you to build relationships with veterinary professions and install confidence.

• Be self-motivated and results driven but also able to communicate well as part of a large team.

• Strong analytical and numerate skills with a business focus.
