Event Coordinator in London

AgriBriefing is an ambitious business media company based in Waterloo, Central London. The company currently operates in the agriculture strategy markets and is growing fast with a range of newspapers, magazines, exhibitions, conferences, awards programmes and digital services. We have offices in the UK, France and the US.

Due to growth in events across all brands, we are now seeking a hard-working and dynamic Event Coordinator professional, to join the operations team in delivering a portfolio of events across media
and agriculture within agreed budgets and deadlines and to the highest possible standards. You will have a years' event management experience and will now be looking for your next career move.

Full description:
Reporting to the Event Manager, the event coordinator will be responsible for providing assistance on our conferences, exhibitions and awards. This includes providing the full event logistics lifecycle,
financial budget management, supplier negotiations and customer support. The right candidate should have min 1 years experience with delivering events. The candidate will be expected to hit the ground running and make their mark quickly.

Roles and responsibilities include:
- Responsible for the day-to-day organisation and project management of own events including venue and supplier sourcing and on site logistic
- Providing support to the operations team across all events
- Coordinating internal teams and external suppliers ensuring timelines are kept to – including marketing, editorial, design, printers
- Identifying, managing and negotiating all third party suppliers with the view of minimising costs and improving budget margins
- Liaising with the venue throughout the build-up to events
- To be an onsite contact for all contractors including supervising the build and break down of events
- Actively assist in the business development process and after sale support
- Provide a friendly and efficient primary point of contact for all exhibitors and delegates both on and off site
- Budget management - preparing and sending budget updates with appropriate notice

Person Specification:
- A minimum of 1 years’ event management
- Highly organised with excellent negotiation, influencing and people management skills
- Ability to work to tight deadlines and manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Strong commercial awareness and budget management skills


- The job will be based in our London head office
- Basic hours of work are 9 – 5 Monday to Friday, however, flexibility is required to achieve the objectives and responsibilities of the role
- International travel may be required
