Fertiliser Area Manager – South Wales / West Midlands

We are seeking an experienced agricultural sales professional to manage sales activity across South Wales and the West Midlands.

Our client is a highly respected and successful manufacturer supplying a range of top quality fertilisers primarily for the agricultural sector but with applications across arable crops, grassland, horticultural crops and the amenity sector. Success in this role will be built on excellent communication skills and the ability to build lasting business relationships with customers across the agricultural sector. The company is proud of its quality, service and innovation and is ambitious to continue growing in its established, as well as new sectors. 

The successful candidate will engage with the customer base including distributors and active farms to advise on the use of the company's products and services. Proactively problem solving to generate sales through both project specifications and repeat customer business.

The candidate will have proven consultative selling experience. You must be an excellent communicator and able to build effective business relationships with colleagues and customers. You must have enthusiasm and the determination to succeed and be credible as an ambassador for the company.



·        Some previous sales experience in the Agricultural Sector is essential - but this need not have been selling fertiliser.

·        Agricultural qualification (degree/HND) or strong Agricultural background.

·        Sound knowledge of farming and agriculture – specifically agronomy

·        FACTS qualification is ideal but not essential as support can be provided to undertake this qualification.

·        Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

·        Willing to travel extensively around the territory.

·        Full UK driving licence.

·        Excellent IT skills.


Location: Home based in South Wales or the West Midlands


Salary: Excellent base salary dependant on experience + car + private health + pension.
